Questions: Can You Tap Dance On Cardboard?

Thank author of this post/commentOk so I just started tap dancing and I need to practice at home but I don't wanna ruin our wood floors and I'd seen some people on the subway tapping on cardboard, like some boxes that where cut open and duct taped to the floor, is that safe? And will it ruin my taps? I can't buy a dance floor and I can't by ply wood or anything I don't have extra money, please anyone help? Thanks. Also I don't have a basement or anything. D:

I love watching people who are tap dancing! Yes, it is a very nice dance and for me, it is very unique. It also depicts power or strong personality of the dancer. I really admire those who can dance this gracefully. Well, Shanita, I guess you can just use the cardboards for the meantime until you get yourself a better one. Anyway, if you have enough money, then maybe you could enroll in a formal dance studio.

I love tap dance as well. I find it amusing to watch those who do tap dance very well. I would love to also learn how to tap dance. I wonder if it is hard to learn the dance. It would be great to hear from all of you guys as to where I can find some good videos with regards to tap dancing. Thanks a lot and good day to all.

Well, you have talent, you know, but I think, it is really necessary to use the proper tools in dancing tap dance. I may not be that good in dancing it, but I know how important it is to be in great safe in doing that matter. Tap dancing is a quite ju=ob, but, I see the drive on you and I really admire it. I hope you can have the things that you want.

I have seen dancer of tap dance, and yes they are pretty admiring. Their moves are really one of a kind. But I also think that whenever they practice they really should have a good place which has a strong floor.

If you want to practice in the house, it will be better to practice in the basement. In fact, other people put a small dance studio in the basement of their house.

I have to confess that I have two left feet. Add poor hand and foot coordination to that. I'd rather watch and admire dancers that be the butt of jokes on the dance floor. So don't be surprised if I really envy tap dancers and ballroom dancers. Their bodies seem to automatically know how to groove to the beat of the music. I keep wondering how they can do that but I guess you can attribute that to talent.
