By Dean Chu - Pigstyle Design - Freelance Website Designer. I remember as a kid growing up in Vietnam, I've always enjoyed the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival. It's a bit similar to North American's Halloween, but without the candies. During the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival kids would walk around their brownout neighborhood carrying candle-lit lanterns, made of bamboo frames and coloured cellophane paper, most commonly in shapes of fish and animals, suspended on a string tied to a stick. This Chinese Lantern Festival reminded me of that special time in my childhood. The images are arranged to the theme song from the Secret Garden.
