How safe is your neighborhood?

I live in a bit congested town where everyone is minding their own business. You should have seen it before where every night people are running off in the middle of the night picking up fights with opposing group (or gangs) which was later solved by incorporating gates on alleys at around 9:00 in the evening. There are also some reports of burglary but thank goodness we haven't fell victim into one. How about you, how safe is your neighborhood?
