Your home must be a friendly and safety for your kids. It is a way of becoming a responsible parenthood for you can't be liable of unexpected incident that may cause your children near to harmful things at home. There are several tips that I can share with you about home safety tips for your children.

As a parent, from almost the moment your first child is born, you begin to worry about his/her health and safety. The key to keep your child from serious and preventable accidents and injuries. worry though you will, the only truth about childhood safety that you have to remember is that ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN. I can share with you steps in making your child safe at home.

Step#1

Childproofing your home should begin prior to your child learning to crawlbecause once he/she becomes mobile, you are faced with an ever increasing , intensely curios whirlwind of activity. Inspect your home while you have the time to do it thoroughly.

Childproofing does not mean moving breakables to higher shelves . It means locking, securing, relocating or removing anything that may pose a potential danger to a child. Young children are very tactile and oral;consequently, any new object or substance must not only be touched but mouthed to be fully explored.

Use the following checklist as a starting point for childproofing your home.

*In the kitchen and bathroom-

- Installed child resistant locks on all cabinets within the child's reach.

- Remove all cleaning fluids and agents from lower storage areas

- Remember that very common household items that are generally considered non-poisonous, if taken in large quantity , can kill a 22 pound child. Some of this are mouthwash, cosmetics and spices

-Keep all medications inside the cabinet that is locked

- Keep all electrical and phone cords bundled and out of reach

-Do not use tablecloths

-Install toilet lid locks

-Never leave a small child alone in the bathtub for even just a second.

*In other areas of your home

- Install covers over all electrical outlets

-Install smoke alarmson all levels of your home

-Place gates at stairways-top and botton

-Turn down your water heater

-Make the garage off limits

-Remove firearms from your home

Note: childproofing is not a 100% guarantee that your child will be safe from injury. As a parent you need to be vigilant.

Step#2 Preventing injuries outside the home

First and foremost, ALWAYS use a child safety restraint seat when riding in the car.

Review this checklist for suggestions around your home and beyond

In the backyard-

-Remove the plants that are poisonous

-Remove plants that attract bees

-Fencing should be free of sharp of jagged edges, splitters, protruding nails, and peeling paint

-Fix or replace decaying steps and deck boards

Always put away fertilizers, pesticides and harmful equipments

-Remove peeling paint from outbuildings and your house exterior

In the play area

-Don't use toxic pesticides or other chemicals garden products

-Be sure the play area is well-drained

-check with your local building code agency for safety specifications when building a play structure.

In the pool area

-No glass or electrical appliances are allowed in the pool area

Are we a country of whimps! How does did the world survive so many years without such instructions?

Childhood should be to develop a person into being a happy, successful adult. Making life too "easy" will develop a person into a lazy, arrogant, incapable person dependent on momma!

How to keep your house safe for your kids; well that's a big question because accident do happen even though you keep your house safe how can you keep your children safe every time.

The top thing on your list should be to keep harmful things out of the children way.

No.1: Keep all pointed objects away from your children. They still don't know that these things could hurt them or someone else.

No.2: Keep children away from the stairs. There is a perfect time to teach our children how to take the stairs. Let us not force it on them if they're not yet ready.

No.3: Cover all electric outlets to keep your children from being electrocuted.

No.4: Give your kids at least one hug each day to make them feel safe and loved.

Thank author of this post/comment"Bubble Kids"

Most importantly put your kid in a bubble.

All this stuff is annoying as it implies that kids are stupid and will hurt themselves, and that parents are stupid and need warning signs about everything.

The world has survived so well without all this demeaning stuff for so long... and it is likely that putting your kid in a bubble of excessive protect will lead to additional risk when he is an adult and goes out on his own (if he can even leave home/the bubble).
